Graphic Designers needed for NEIC Community Arts Programme

The vision for Dublin’s North East Inner City (NEIC) Community Arts Programme is that community arts can be transformative. Community Arts is an essential component of social inclusion, social justice and equality. Since 2025, Create has managed the Community Arts Programme in the NEIC, with the aim to support artists and steer the development of place-based collaborative arts.

We see the enormous potential of this programme to activate the very best of contemporary collaborative arts practice, while building supportive and sustainable frameworks for diverse artistic practice and meaningful cultural participation in the North East Inner City.

To support this work, we seek Expressions of Interest from Graphic Designers based in the North East Inner City area. Please consult this list of streets within the area to ensure that you are based in the NEIC.

Over the coming months, we will create key branding and media assets for the programme, bringing a positive, contemporary and engaging feel to the overall identity of the Community Arts Programme, and reflecting a vibrant and diverse area.

Connecting with the NEIC Community Arts programme would suit freelance graphic designers with the capacity to deliver small to medium projects (e.g. Flyers, posters, event programmes, reports, small publications) as well as brand creation.

Requirements

Create and the NEIC Community Arts Programme require a variety of design jobs over the coming year and beyond.

These design jobs may include both online and print material, online campaign content, social media assets, working with existing branding or providing branding options for new projects/ programmes of work.

• Applicants must have experience delivering high-quality work in a range of formats, including providing templates for use in-house.
• Designers will work closely with Create’s Communications and Publishing Manager and, on occasion, other Create team members.
• Applicants should be responsive, collaborative, open to feedback and flexible in their approach.
• Applicants should demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to, best practices in terms of accessibility in design.

Create reserves the right to terminate this process at any time including before award of any contract or after award of any contract.

Applications must include:

• A short expression of interest, outlining your interest in and skills suitable for inclusion on this panel (max 1200 characters).
• A CV which tells us about yourself and your work
• 3 relevant case studies which demonstrate your skills and breadth of work
• Client testimonials
• The names and contact details of two referees
• Daily rate, clearly stating your VAT position
• Information on status – e.g., self-employed or CLG

Please ensure that you have highlighted any unique selling point you have in your application. For example, a strong track record of working with arts organisations, an interest in collaborative arts, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, community, place-making, etc

Applicants may be called to an informal interview. All applicants must be tax compliant and be able to submit a current tax clearance cert on request.

Pricing

All prospective service providers must comply with the following pricing requirements:

• All prices quoted must be all-inclusive (including, but not limited to, ancillary services and all other costs/expenses), be expressed in Euro, and must be inclusive of VAT.
• Prospective service providers must confirm that all prices quoted in the proposal will remain valid for a twelve-month period commencing from the response deadline.

We collect different kinds of personal data about prospective service providers to manage the recruitment process and meet our legal obligations. It is Create’s policy that this information is processed in accordance with Data Protection law. If the applicant is unsuccessful the details will be shredded after evaluation. If applicant is successful, the details will be retained for life of the panel.

The successful applicant(s) will be required to comply with all directions of Create with regard to Data Protection and may be asked to enter into a Data Processing Agreement should that be required.
