“Rethinking the Container”

Open Call for a Residency at Centro Huarte, Spain, January – June 2017

as part of the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme

Deadline for applications: October 17

“Rethinking the Container” is the first open call for a series of artist residencies in the frame of the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme with Spanish partners Hablarenarte, with the first Residency being launched in collaboration with Centro Huarte. This residency is part of an ongoing research process through which to redefine use and structure of Centro Huarte.

It is conceived as a collaborative process with room for a variety of disciplines, from art to architecture, sociology, etc.

This residency opportunity allows creators to contribute experiences, concepts and nascent ideas to this process of co-management and offers unique opportunity to rethink the functioning of an art institution from the ground up.

CAPP Residencies

In 2016, CAPP will focus on residencies. The residencies will vary in scale and timeframe, and opportunities for artists to engage and/or apply for residencies will vary across the individual partners within the CAPP network.

The principle aims of the residencies across the programme will seek to explore new models of participation and co-operation and encourage an exchange of artists’ methodologies, contexts and ideas. The learnings within the network from the residencies will offer a rich opportunity to consider the relationship between arts practice and social and community contexts comparatively across Europe.
