
Socially Engaged Art Practices in the Digital with Studio We & Us
Workshop
Create invites socially and collaboratively engaged artists and designers to join Studio We & Us in exploring the dynamics and potential of socially engaged practices in digital spaces.
The online session will introduce artists to the core issues faced by creatives engaging with communities on the web, exploring the digital possibilities for collaborative arts practice. They will provide space for artists to delve into the implications of the move to digital forms of collaborative and community based working, taking into consideration a variety of ethics, tactics and methodologies of working in the digital realm.
Studio We & Us will introduce a range of digital tools and collaborative activities for a variety of creative and community contexts, taking a critical look into the possibilities of digital platforms and their limitations.
Creative Practitioners from all levels of digital working are welcome, the session will be tailored to those with little working knowledge of web based digital practices.

There is a limited number of places for this workshop. To apply, please complete this Google Form before Monday 21 November, 3pm (GMT). A workshop fee of €10 will apply. Participants will need access to a computer and internet connection.
About Studio We & Us
The session will be led by artists Sophie Bullock and Sophie Huckfield, members of Studio We & Us, a creative lab founded which explores the possibilities of digital, ecological and participatory artforms for systems change. They like to make and think together in ways that build spaces of care-full creativity, from socially-engaged art and storytelling to critical design and public interventions.
