People and Place in Cork

Create are delighted to work in partnership again with Cork Midsummer. Create is committed to working with festivals across Ireland to programme and raise discussions on collaborative, socially engaged and site specific projects that involve and engage diverse publics.

An interactive walk and talk tour of Cork with architect and artist Tara Kennedy exploring new ideas on people, place and space, and new architectural and collaborative ideas on our built environment. CREATE present this conversation on the move about people and urban space with Tara Kennedy, recipient of the Arts Council’s Artist in the Community Scheme (Collaborative Arts and Architecture) in 2015.

By engaging and involving the public with architectural practices, new understandings can emerge which can also create a platform for collective conversations about the kind of environment we want to live in today. These topics and other trends in collaborative architecture will be discussed with Tara Kennedy as the audience traverse the City of Cork in this interactive interrogation of the cityscape and how we can shape it.
