Collaboration and Film: A workshop with award-winning filmmaker Eoin Heaney

Booking: There is no charge for this event and booking is recommended, as places are limited. Bookings to be made through Create: programme@create-ireland.ie

Create is delighted to present Collaboration and Film for the inaugural Bealtaine@Templebar Festival. Award winning filmmaker Eoin Heaney will host this interactive workshop on collaborative practice and filmmaking. As well as hearing about Eoin’s work and some of the practice and theory behind collaboration and film, Eoin will be showing some as yet unseen work. This is an opportunity to get ‘behind the scenes’ as it were and meet a filmmaker whose work celebrates the poetry of cinema while reflecting more civic minded topics. See footage of his successful short films which have previously been shown at the Galway Film Fleadh and exhibited at the Irish Arts Centre New York and The National Gallery of Ireland.

Eoin Heaney is a successful Irish filmmaker whose work has been exhibited and screened both internationally and nationally in art spaces and at festivals. In 2016, Eoin was awarded the Arts Council’s ‘Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award for Collaborative Film’ and his work has also been supported by the Irish Film Board as well as the Arts Council of Ireland.

Bealtaine@Templebar is a new initiative being organised by Age & Opportunity as part of the annual National Bealtaine Festival.
