Bursary Award 2017: Art and Activism

Information Session

On November 2nd, 2017 Create and Fire Station Artists’ Studios will host an information event for artists in relation to the 2017 AIC Bursary Award. In this information session Ailbhe Murphy Director, Create and Helen Carey Director, Fire Station Artists’ Studios will talk about the Art’s Council Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award: Art and Activism. The focus will be on art and activist practice, the application process and how a Bursary could help facilitate and support experiment, research and professional development. Artist Anthony Haughey will also speak, as a previous recipient of the Bursary, and as an artist whose issue-based work often traverses that intersection between art and activism.
