Collaborative Arts Training Programme

Create is delighted to launch the pilot of the Collaborative Arts Training Programme. This is a practical suite of essential training and professional knowledge for emerging artists, recent graduates and third-level students as well as artists and cultural practitioners who are interested in learning more about the basics of collaborative art practice.

The programme is designed as a learning arc and can be booked as drop-in online sessions as well as continuous training programme, aiming to provide practical tips and essential information about collaborative arts.

This ground-up course will feature Create staff and guest artists, using presentations, discussions and practical examples to cover the following topics:

Demystifying Collaborative Art (Wednesday 15 October, 11am – 1pm)
with guest artist Anthony Haughey

Effectively Communicating your Practice (Wednesday 29 October, 2:30-4:30pm)
with guest artist Alan James Burns

Building Sustainable Work Patterns  (Wednesday 12 November, 2:30 – 4:30pm)
with guest artist John Conway

People, Ethics and Communities (Wednesday 3rd December, 11am – 1pm)
with guest artist Evelyn Broderick

Who is this training programme for?

This training is for emerging artists, recent graduates/ third-level students as well as artists and cultural practitioners who are interested in transitioning into collaborative practice.

**This is a pilot programme with limited capacity and is now full. We encourage you to apply to attend the CATP next year – we will announce dates and details in early 2026.

How do I book my place?

As a discounted introductory price, we are offering these sessions for €15 per session, with an additional discount for those who book all four sessions (€50). Fees will be collected after we confirm your place.

Bursaries

Create are delighted to offer a limited number of bursaries for artists, arts workers, creative/ cultural practitioners and community members to support their attendance at this Training Programme.  Recipients of this bursary must engage with and commit to the sessions. Those wishing to apply for a bursary should email producer[at]create-ireland.ie, no later than Wednesday 1st October, 4pm, outlining how the bursary will support their attendance.

What do I need in order to attend?

• A laptop or desktop with camera, speakers and microphone
• Stable internet connection

In order to facilitate full participation by all attendees, we encourage everyone to keep their camera on throughout each session. The sessions will not be recorded, to allow each attendee to feel comfortable sharing their own experiences and challenges.
