Collaborative Arts Training Programme

One of our core purposes as a resource organisation is to ensure that artists working in the field of collaborative socially engaged arts are supported to operate to the highest possible standards. In conducting our work with artists, we note common themes of enquiry and gaps in knowledge, and following a highly successful and over-subscribed pilot in 2025, we will address these by offering the Collaborative Arts Training Programme (CATP).
The Collaborative Arts Training Programme is a practical suite of essential training and professional knowledge for emerging artists, recent graduates and third-level students as well as artists and cultural practitioners who are interested in learning more about the basics of collaborative art practice.
The programme is designed as a learning arc and can be booked as drop-in online sessions as well as continuous training programme, aiming to provide practical tips and essential information about collaborative arts. This work was informed by a collaborative developmental process undertaken by Create staff and artists at various career stages, led by Dr Susanne Bosch.
Who is this training programme for?
This training is for emerging artists, recent graduates/ third-level students as well as artists and cultural practitioners who are interested in transitioning into collaborative practice.
This ground-up course features Create staff and guest artists, using presentations, discussions, workshop exercises, sharing and reflections to cover the following topics:
