A4 Sounds invites applications from visual artists for two residency awards as part of their We Only Want the Earth Programme 2026. Each residency opportunity will run for 5 months starting September 2026, and aims to support an artist currently living in Ireland to develop their arts practice. Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre offers Artist in Residence studio opportunities to practicing artists. Artists are invited to apply for an opportunity to research and develop their practices and to engage in dialogue with Uillinn, other organisations in Cork, the local community and general public. The Dublin region Local Authorities and Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC) invite applications from artists to develop and deliver early childhood arts residencies within homeless accommodation services across the four local authority administrative areas. They invite applications from artists who propose to collaborate with other artists and/or creative practitioners. The maximum award per residency is €13,000. Deadline: 2pm, 2 September 2026
The UK-IRL Culture Connects Grant 2026/27 is a British Council Ireland initiative delivered in association with Arts Council Ireland/ An Chomhairle Ealaíon . This programme supports artistic collaboration between Ireland and the four nations of the UK, enabling emerging artists and creative practitioners to develop ideas through in-person exchange. UCD’s School of Art History and Cultural Policy is launching an additional part time offer of their MA in Cultural Policy and Arts Management commencing in September of this year. The programme is delivered in a flexible part-time format, with teaching scheduled one day per week (1.5 days in year two) over three years. The programme is aimed at experienced practitioners and graduate professionals.
