Update 26th March 2020:
Please note the following changes made to The Artist in the Community Scheme, by the Arts Council and Create in response to Covid19
Accepting Research and Development Awards ONLY.
The deadline for the AIC Scheme has been extended from 30 March to 5.30pm, Monday 27 April 2020
In recognition of the severe limitations in place due to physical distancing and the challenges this poses to Project Realisation proposals we will offer Research and Development Awards only (both with and without mentoring) in Round One. Full details will follow in the coming days.
We are pleased to share the 2020 Artist in the Community Scheme Application Forms and Guidelines with you. New for 2020, the maximum award amounts and time-frames have been increased, with the mamimum amount awarded for Project Realisation Awards now €15,000 (a 50% increase on 2019). This enhanced investment reflects Create and the Arts Council’s firm and ongoing commitment to the durational and relational nature of collaborative arts. We believe that by working together, artists and communities can engage in distinct, relevant and powerful ways with the urgent social, cultural and political issues of our times.
The Artist in the Community Scheme (AIC) is managed by Create. The AIC scheme is open to artists from any of the following artform disciplines: architecture, circus, street art and spectacle, dance, film, literature (Irish and English language), music, opera, theatre, visual arts and traditional arts.
