What we do

Create is the national development agency for collaborative arts in social and community contexts. Create supports artists across all artforms who work collaboratively with communities in different social and community contexts, be they communities of place or those brought together by interest.

Artist in the Community Scheme

Twice yearly, the Arts Council offers awards to enable artists and communities of place and/or interest to work together on projects. The Artist in the Community Scheme (AIC) is managed by Create.

Create is committed to providing advice and support to individual artists and to arts organisations throughout Ireland, to assist the professional development of collaborative arts practice in social and community contexts.

Supports  

Vetting for the Arts

Create is registered with the National Vetting Bureau to represent other persons, organisations and groups in accessing vetting for bona-fide reasons of employment or engagement in relevant work or activities in the arts and culture.
