The Arts Participation Project Award supports initiatives in the field of Arts Participation.
The purpose of the award is to support proposals from artists or arts organisations working with groups or communities. The Arts Council has identified the following as strategic priorities for support through this award:
projects that focus on the contexts of health, disability, cultural diversity, older people, and communities of place or interest.

Zest - Associate Artsits opportunities

Zest, based within Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, have an opportunity for two artists, who will work concurrently, over a 12-month period. One artist will work in digital media and one in either 2D or 3D art forms. Both projects will generate high quality art works as well as allowing time for research. During their time with Zest, the Associate Artist will have to run a series of workshops and events for patients and staff. Fee: £21,000 per artist, to include all travel, subsistence and VAT.

Health Service Executive Public Art Commission: Call for Submissions

The HSE invites submissions under the PerCent for Art Scheme for artworks for the new Cardiac Renal Centre at Cork University Hospital. The artwork(s) may be of any discipline, design or media and the total budget to cover all costs associated with the artwork(s) is circa €62,000.
The competition for the artwork(s) will be a two stage process. Stage 1 will require outline concept proposals and Stage 2 will require detailed proposals from those artists who are shortlisted. A site visit will be arranged for artists interested in submitting for competition. Artists should register with the undersigned if they wish to attend the site visit by Wednesday 10 March 2010.

2010 ICCL Human Rights Film Awards

Following on from its inaugural 2009 competition, the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) has launched its 2010 Human Rights Film Awards. Individual filmmakers and/or those with a strong interest in human rights are invited to submit an original short film focusing on a particular human rights-related issue in, or related to, Ireland.

London Borough of Havering wish to commission a public artist or arts organisation to design, create, build and install a permanent or temporary work of public art. The opportunity to be a part of Platform could be used as a test-bed for new ideas or processes but the work must be available for public interface either through timed events or by an on-going schedule throughout the period. All events will be promoted through Site networks to wide audiences. Platform 2010 will take place at Site Gallery from November 2010 to January 2011. Artists and curators must be UK based and must not be in full-time education.
