Announcing the appointment today, Create’s Chair, David McConnell, said: “The board of Create are delighted to announce Patrick’s appointment as Director. His broad ranging skillset, especially in the area of culture and social media, and his extensive and diverse experience of arts and civic participation will be a marvellous asset for Create. The staff and board of Create look forward very much to working closely with Patrick in the next stage of our organisation’s strategic development.”
Of his appointment as Director of Create, Patrick says “I am passionate about the role of the arts in civil society and I believe firmly in the power of cultural engagement to support civic participation. My new role affords me a wonderful opportunity to support artists, arts organisations and the wider arts sector in further developing the role of collaborative arts practice in Ireland.”
