Open Space facilitation available from Create

Arthur Duignan, Assistant Director of Create took part in the Interface Open Space Technology Training earlier this Autumn. Open Space is an innovative democratic format of organizing gatherings with large groups. It is a means of bringing together interested parties with their diverse experiences and questions and it can be used in a wide variety of situations. After the intensive six day training participants can initiate and run Open Space events. If you are interested in organizing an Open Space event, contact Arthur Duignan at 01-4736600.

Cultural Diversity and the Arts Research

The Arts Council and the National Action Plan against Racism (NPAR) entered into partnership in 2008 to carry out a significant research project to inform the development of a cultural diversity policy for the arts and an action plan to support culturally diverse practice into the future. The Arts Council then engaged Create, to manage the extensive research and consultation phases of the ambitious project.

The research will inform arts policy in the area of Cultural Diversity and be used as the basis for recommendations for the development of an Arts Council Action Plan that will enable minority ethnic and cultural groups to participate and contribute more fully to the cultural life of Ireland.
