Save the Date - Arts + Health Check Up Check In 2018

26 – 27 April, Cork

Crawford Art Gallery Cork

Following the success of last year’s event in Sligo, Create and partners artsandhealth.ie / Waterford Healing Arts Trust, Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre, HSE Health & Wellbeing, Cork Kerry Community Health Organisation and Niche Community Health Project are delighted to be working together to deliver this year’s Arts and Health Check Up Check In 2018, which will take place at the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork on Thursday 26 April.

The keynote speaker will be the award-winning director and writer, Professor Anna Furse. Anna is a recipient of a CAPP (Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme) commission for I’m Not a Piece of Meat (2018). CAPP is a transnational programme co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

Recognising the learning that has taken place in the arts and health sector over the last decade, the theme of this year’s event is Building Momentum, through which participants will be invited to explore the importance of communication in partnership and how to challenge and nurture their creativity. This rich programme, featuring presentations by some of the leading figures working in arts and health in Ireland and the UK, is for healthcare professionals, arts practitioners and anyone interested in learning more about this exciting field. A second day of workshops and advice clinics will take place the following day, Friday 27 April.

Check back here for further updates and speakers to be announced.
