For the last number of years Create has been collecting publications and materials which are relevant and of interest to artists and arts organisations who work in collaboration with communities of place/interest. These resources include:
- collaborative arts project case studies
- project reports & evaluations
- handbooks and guidebooks
- critical theory
- research and academic writing on the theory and history of collaborative arts as a contemporary arts practice
The Reading Room can be used as a research facility by students, Create members, artists and arts organisations or it can simply be a space to view the range of work inspired by collaborative arts practices. We are now able to provide an online catalogue, referencing the publications and resources in the Reading Room. Our collection is constantly growing, and new materials are added regularly.
Access to the Create Reading Room is available to members and non-members, but is by appointment only. Material is reference only but photocopying is available in accordance with the terms of copyright law.
