national development agency for collaborative arts
in social and community contexts

Create is the national development agency for collaborative arts, providing unique support and advisory services to the sector.

  • Becoming an Associate of Create is open to individual artists across all art form disciplines, to communities interested in working collaboratively with artists, and to organisations committed to developing this field of contemporary arts practice.
  • Create provides opportunities for artists and communities to share information on collaborative arts events, employment and relevant in-residence programmes.
  • Additionally Create supports the professional development of its Associates through a range of practice led workshops, advisory services and in-conversation seminars with national and international artists.
  • Create recognises that established and emerging artists working in different social contexts often have few supports. Create responds to the needs of its Associates by listening and communicating with them on a regular basis.
