Create is delighted to announce that the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme will be expanded to include a ninth partner – Heart of Glass, St Helens (UK). St Helens is situated between Liverpool and Manchester in the North of England. Heart of Glass is part of Arts Council England’s (ACE) action research programme Creative People and Places (CPP). Broadly speaking, the aim of the programme is to increase participation in the arts through the development of arts projects put people and place at the heart of cultural activities.

Patrick Fox, director Heart of Glass says: “We’re thrilled to join this ambitious trasnational programme that promotes collaborative arts and enhance artists’ opportunities to create memorable collaborative arts projects across Europe.

Ailbhe Murphy of Create says: “It makes total sense for Heart of Glass to join CAPP, particularly in the light of their commitment to cultural democracy and in their programme of high calibre arts projects across artform.”

CAPP, with lead partner Create Ireland, is a 9-organisation co-operation funded by Creative Europe, which aims to improve and open up opportunities for artists who are working collaboratively across Europe, by enhancing mobility and exchange whilst at the same time engaging new publics and audiences for collaborative practices. Partners: Create-Ireland (coordinating lead partner Dublin); Agora Collective, Berlin; hablarenarte, Madrid; Kunsthalle Osnabrück, Osnabrück; Live Art Development Agency, London; Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art Budapest; M-Cult, Helsinki, Tate Liverpool and Heart of Glass (UK).
