And the award goes to… TheatreClub
Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts, is delighted to announce the award recipient of the Create/NCAD Bursary Award.
Doireann Coady of TheatreClub, a Dublin based collective founded in 2008 will work collaboratively with groups in the Liberties area, using the lecture theatre space in NCAD Gallery as a creative base for the week of 9 August, interacting with the neighbourhood and people living in the Dublin 8 area.
The process will feed into the work that will be shown as part of Absolut Fringe 2010.
The Create/NCAD bursary award is designed to offer practitioners who are taking part in Absolut Fringe a week long space to undertake research and reflection on what it is to collaborate with communities in the making of new work.
In addition the Bursary award recipient is offered creative producing support from Create.
For this inaugural award, Create worked with Absolut Fringe Festival to support theatre artists who work collaboratively.
